Rabid Corn

I watch you emerging from rabid stalks of corn,
hair wildly thrown and twisted
your dress carefully torn
and the glow of your grin
wide and toothful
seeping throughout your trembling body
barefoot and bare beneath
sowing and reaping complete
Myself, sitting bare-assed
and in awe.
Not so far
beneath the screaming moon.
